Motzei Shabbos, March 28, 2020
Are we turning a corner?
I have been in places and have had times where and when I have found it difficult to daven, but I have also encountered locations and experienced moments of connection. For whatever reason, I found it easier to connect this Shabbos. Usually, my mind is busy, and before I daven, when I try to focus, even closing my eyes, there is a lot of “noise”; mental noise. Every once in a while, there is little or no noise, and my mind has less trouble focusing and using the words of shmonah esrei to commune with the Ribono shel olam. This Shabbos, for the first time since all this began, I was able to focus for a bit. It was a good feelings; a feeling of chizuk; a feeling that HKBH is available and listening.
Just a few days ago, there was news from Eretz Israel. For the first time in quite some time, things are starting to get organized governmentally. Perhaps that is a reflection of a new energy coming to the world. I hope that this portends an end to the chaos and reflects the beginning of things becoming “under control”.
