It’s truly amazing to witness how HKBH can do one mass disruption resulting in everyone having to be in the same situation and nonetheless every individual experiences therein his own nisayon.
The entire world has been plagued by the COVID-19 virus. Everyone is basically quarantined to their home. Yet, each individual is experiencing the challenges of that situation differently. Some are struggling with bitachon related to their loss of parnosoh, others are struggling with the stress of still being at work. Some are struggling with the challenge of having to relate to their children. Others have been using work as an escape from their poor relationship with their spouse, and are now forced to spend time together. Some are struggling with the lack of social interactions, others struggle to get by without the luxuries that they have become accustomed to. The list goes on and on.
The bottom line is that HKBH has His way of “isolating” people’s issues. Everyone can be the “same situation” and be experiencing the challenges completely differently. I don’t refer to the psychological experience, I am referring to the spiritual/religious experience. Everything that happens to us, involves our “personal trainer”. Every challenge we encounter is HKBH providing us with an opportunity to grow. The fact that one person experiences the situation as a particular challenge indicates that THAT is exactly what he should be working on at this time. We should use that as an indicator for our teshuvah.
