Beloved friends, family, and all those who have stood by our side,
As the devastating events in Israel unfolded, I along with my family, felt a profound need to stand in solidarity with our brave soldiers and our cherished people.
In an attempt to nourish not only their spirits but their bodies, we began to give out freshly squeezed juices and homemade baked goods. As the day wore on I was informed that there were many soldiers up North who had been without food for a full 48 hours.
Without hesitation, my family and I jumped into action, putting our hearts and energy into preparing meals for over 150 soldiers. With the gracious assistance of others who shared our mission, we managed to serve a total of 230 soldiers that day.
The need did not stop there and neither did our resolve. We partnered with a local soup kitchen to reach more soldiers in need of food. We have since been consistently providing hot, nourishing meals to an average of 500 soldiers daily.
Since then, the calls for help kept coming. Requests ranged from essentials like socks and underwear to camping gear, enabling the soldiers to stay dry and sheltered from the elements. We also received requests for defense equipment for settlements without their own army presence.
Today we have gotten requests for Sidurim, Gemaras, Yamakas, Tzitzit and more. With the generous help of friends., family and our community we were able to supply 100,000 NIS worth of donations to our soldiers. We express our deepest gratitude to those who have helped along the way.
Our mission doesn't end with the distribution of meals and supplies. We visit the soldiers with the intention of lifting their spirits and bringing a touch of happiness during this immensely challenging time. We provide them with moral support as they embark on their incredible fight on behalf of all of us.
